For Valentines Day I sent out paper pieced fabric postcards.  Another class offered from the The Quilt Works, taught by Carol Bell.

Graduation fabric postcards

I made some fabric postcards for the 2013 graduation season...I just appliqued a cap and glued a tassel and a button to finish the top...

Baby Jorgen Announcement (Fabric Postcard)

 

This is a postcard I made for an exchange with Art2Mail.  There is a link to a new website called "We Love Quilting" under the links on this blog.  Now the exchange groups are 4 instead of 25.  There was no theme assigned so I did a birth announcement for my son who was born on August 28, 2009.  The baby shower was a patriotic theme diaper party.  We called it a "Labor Day" party.  Hopefully this explains the design of the card.

Back Pocket (Fabric Postcard)

 

This was another postcard I made for an exchange with Art2Mail.  I wanted to make something that looked like the pocket of Wrangler jeans using my embroidery machine. 

Denim Braid (Fabric Postcard)

My mother-in-law made a vest using this technique, so I decided to try it on a postcard. On the vest, I asked her to use Harley Davidson material instead of the bandanna pattern.

Valentine Penguin (Fabric Postcard)

The theme for one of the Art2Mail postcard exchanges was the holidays. I could not settle for a penguin Christmas card, so I decided to try a Valentine Penguin card.

Dorothy (Fabric Postcard)

I made this card for my oldest daughter. Her name is Dorothy (Dottie) named after both of her great grandmothers.

I am a penguin collector and I just had to try to make a penguin block work as a postcard. I think I was successful.

This is the first fabric postcard I ever made after attending a demo by Carol Bell which was held at The Quilt Works in Albuquerque.
